Environmental Services

The Environmental Services Unit provides technical and managerial services concerning environmental issues of all County departments.  Environmental issues include stormwater management, hazardous substance control (asbestos, lead, PCBs, mercury, etc.), underground storage tanks, landfills, air quality, recycling, solid wastes, water quality, brownfields, pesticides/herbicides and environmental due diligence for property acquisition/disposal.

 

Environmental Services also operates as the Milwaukee County Land Conservation Department.

 

 


 

Snow and Ice Management Workshops Available 

 

Milwaukee County is hosting two workshops on salt management and deicing.  Two concurrant sessions, snow and ice management for roadways (public right of way) deicing and snow and ice manaegement for parking lots and sidewalks will be held on October 22, 2009.
